I’m on Instagram. (My account is set to private; just send me a request!)

I’m on Ravelry.

Finished knits:

Socks for an editor: Knit from The Fiberists Audobon Sport in Peridot (almost one skein), purchased at Fibre Space in Alexandria, Va. Heels/stripes: Wandering Wool Helvellyn Sock in colorway Royalty. Purchased at the Fall Fiber Festival in Orange, Va. Toes: unknown scraps. Toe-up, Fish Lips Kiss heel, Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off. US 2/2.75mm needles.

In progress:

A baby sweater: Pattern is Sweet Baby Sweater, a free pattern by Caroline Wiens. US3/3.25mm needles. Using Opal Neon (discontinued line) and Knit Picks Stroll in Buckskin.

Jill Draper Makes Stuff Esopus sock yarn in Daffodil, via a 6-month subscription.

Cascade 220, 10 skeins in a discounted red heather, via a WEBS closeout

It’s spring. Hooray.

Want to knit some easy lace? In the Land of Oz by Adrienne Fong ($5) is what the doctor ordered. I’m wearing mine knit from Jill Draper Makes Stuff Esopus in a colorway whose name I forget. Oops.

Current lipstick: Maybelline Color Sensational in Party Pink — a good spring pink. Here areMakeup Alley reviews.

Shout-out to my mom, who finished her first sweater (a February Lady Sweater) this week!

That’s it!

I welcome your feedback, be it in YouTube comments, blog comments or via email at theknitshift1 at gmail dot com. Thanks for watching!

  1. Laura, it’s your cousin, David. I just recently started crocheting, and my first project was 3-dimensional. Now, I’m working on a Granny Square blanket for my best friend. I have no earthly idea how to knit, though.
